A waiter collected cash at the table. How does it get into the drawer?

The waiter carries it to the counter and it is recorded as handed in from the tables, under Money in and out of the drawer. That adds it to what the drawer should hold, so the count balances, and the hand in is written against the person who did it. The money and the record move together, which is the only safe way round.
