Can I send the receipt on WhatsApp instead of printing it?

Yes, when the customer gives you their number. It goes out from your own WhatsApp as a normal message, not as marketing. No number means no message, which is the ordinary case at a counter and never treated as an error. Asking for a receipt does not sign anybody up to anything and does not add them to your marketing lists.
