Do gift cards work alongside my coupons?

Yes, and the order matters. The total is worked out first with any coupon, loyalty reward or member discount already in it, and the gift card then pays as much of that total as it can hold. It changes what is collected on the day, never what the food cost you. The customer pays whatever is left.
