How do I know nothing is stuck on a device?

The device's own settings show how many sales are waiting to go up, and the selling screen shows a line whenever that number is above zero. When it says nothing is waiting, everything that device has taken has reached us. The one rule worth teaching staff: never switch a tablet off while that number is above zero.
