I just paired a new tablet. How do I check it is really talking to my restaurant before service?

Look at the device row under Settings → The POS. It reads Waiting for the code until the code is typed, and Selling or Live once the device has been in touch. On the device itself, open its own settings: there is a test button for the drawer, a section showing sales waiting to go up, and a button that checks in with us straight away. Ring up a small sale and refund it with a manager PIN, then look for it in Reports → Shifts and the POS. The POS and the counter tab in the docs has a guide called Add a POS machine and pair it.
