I ticked 'Card holders only' and now nobody can order it — why?

That item is reserved for loyalty-card holders — and if your loyalty programme is off, there is no card for anyone to hold, so checkout refuses everyone. The Menu page shows an amber warning naming the affected items. Switch the programme on, or untick the flag.
