I uploaded a logo but nothing told me it worked — did it?

Look at the Current logo card on Settings → Branding & logo: it shows the picture that is live with its file name, size and the day it was uploaded, marked In use. Before you upload, the file you chose is shown with its name and dimensions and the Upload logo button only wakes up once a file is chosen, so there is no guessing at either end.
