My branches are in two countries and the totals are not added together. Is that a bug?

No, it is deliberate. Adding an amount in one currency to an amount in another produces a number that looks like money and is false. You get one total per currency with a note saying why, and a selector to look at one at a time. A group whose branches all trade in the same currency simply sees one clean total.
