Why is the money in my report different from what the customer handed over?
Get Menu team ANSWERED3 September 2026
Because the report records what the sale took, never what crossed the counter. A fifty note against a sale of forty eight fifty is a forty eight fifty row, and the one fifty is change rather than takings. Counting it any other way would inflate every figure you have. The drawer count is where the notes themselves get measured.
