Everyone keeps saying round. What is a round?

One trip to the kitchen. The waiter picks the dishes and presses Send to kitchen: that is round one. Mains twenty minutes later is round two, dessert is round three. Three rounds, three kitchen tickets, one running tab on the table. The tab lists every round with In the kitchen or Served beside it, so anybody picking up the phone can see where the table has got to.
